Today, Sumitomo Bakelite is the largest producer in the world of “Phenolic molding Compounds” and one of the leading producers worldwide of specialty phonlic resins.

Apart of phenolics, Sumitomo Bakelite is active in several areas.  

A major part of the production is used for materials in electronics and the semiconductor industry.

The Genk entity, which is engaded in development, production and sales, is strategically located in the heart of Europe.

It is situated at the intersection of the major European highways and has easy access through the nearby ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam.
